David H. Christian of Derry, NH


David H. Christian, 68, of Derry, NH died surrounded by his loving family at his home on Tuesday, August 15, 2017.

Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Henry and Doris Christian. He graduated from Dracut High School.

He proudly served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

David worked as a welder for 43 years for the Rail Road. He was presently working for Keolis Commuter Service of Somerville, MA.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 100 of Pelham, NH where he enjoyed playing horse shoes and pool.

David enjoyed tinkering with his Chevy trucks, riding his Harley and going to car shows. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, BobbiAnn Christian and her husband, Donald Chasse of Derry, NH; sons, David Christian of Litchfield, NH, Scott Barrett of Lowell and Matt and his wife, Donna Barrett of Dracut; sister, Louise Christian of Lowell; brothers, Mark Christian of Lowell and Randy Christian of Nashua, NH; grandchildren, Joshua Christian, Alyssa Chasse, Isabella Barrett, Wesley Barrett, Jack Barrett and Ryan Barrett and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Dean Christian and Claire Napolitano.


Visiting hours Fri. 4 to 8 P.M. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, MA. Burial at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.     I remember growing up with Dave in our old neighborhood on Forest Ave. He was the nicest, funniest and friendliest kid in the hood, and he grew up to be a very nice guy. Awfully sorry to hear of Dave’s passing.

      I lived down the street from Dave up in Derry New Hampshire he was great neighbor one winter he came to my house and help my mother shovel my drive way he is going to be miss

    RIP Dave I’ll never forget the first day I met you in the Billerica Shop 1986 you were the first perso I ever met on the RR as a Boiler Maker and I thought this going to be fun working with him.
