  5. Bill O'Neill, Jr. says:

We are so very sorry to hear the news of your loss. I remain so grateful to have had the opportunity to have a wonderful conversation with Mrs. Doherty last year at my mother’s wake. She was such a dear friend.

She reminded me an Martha (my parent’s godchild) how she met my mother. They shared a maternity ward in July 1954. My dad was visiting. Mr. Doherty walks in and sees my dad, a classmate from Keith Academy. It was then that the connection was made. And a close bond with the four of them was formed that day.

I have many wonderful memories of our families spending time together back in the day. My Dad is quite moved by the loss and very reminiscent and likewise appreciative of a particularly close friendship that Esther and Peggy nurtured for sixty years.

Our prayers go out to you at this time of loss.
