Mary H. Branco, Age 100

 

Mary H. Branco, 100, of Tewksbury formerly of Lowell died Wednesday morning; August 1, 2018 at Peregrine’s Landing in Tewksbury, MA.

She was the wife of the late Islarino “Gene” Branco who died Nov. 2, 1997 after 51 years of marriage.

Born in Lowell on Sept. 30, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Rodrigues. She was raised in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1934.

Mary worked Capital Warehouse on Rogers St in Lowell in the 1980’s.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed going to Foxwoods. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and water color painting.

Mary was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.

She is survived by three sons and their wives, Wallace and Marie Branco of Chelmsford, Kenneth and Lisa Branco of S. Easton, MA and Wayne and Debbie Branco of Atkinson, NH; six grandchildren and their spouses, Kimberlee and CJ Hebert of Manchester, NH, Mark and Sheri Branco of Chelmsford, Kevin Branco of Lowell, Paul and Christine Branco of Chelmsford, David and Meghan Branco of Littleton, MA and Robert Branco of S. Easton, MA; a sister in-law Alice Rodrigues of Burlington, MA; 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

She was the grandmother of the late Lauren Branco and sister of the late Anthony, Alfred and Roger Rodrigues and the late Ana Barrio.

Visiting hours Friday, Aug. 10th from 4 to 7pm. Funeral Saturday, Aug. 11th at8:00 a.m. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church in Lowell, MA.
