Sidonio Farinha of Chelmsford
He was the husband of Suzanne Farinha with whom he celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on Feb. 10th.
Born in Funchal, Madera Islands, Portugal on April 1, 1933, a son of the late Manuel and Maria Farinha. He came to the US as a young man. During the Korean War he served in the US Army.
Sidonio worked as a Plater for Courier-Citizen for many years before retiring in 1933. He enjoyed travelling and going to the casinos. He was a Life Member of Portuguese Civic Social Club and the Chelmsford Elks Lodge 2310.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Glen Farinha and his wife Kathy of SC and Gary Farinha of FL; a daughter Lisa Farinha of Pelham, NH; step daughter Linda Gallant of Litchfield; a granddaughter Melissa Farinha of PA and step grandson Landon Gallant; three sisters, Zaida McFarland and her husband David of Plum Island, MA, Linda Nascimento and her husband John of Madera Islands, Portugal and Wezea Farinha-Daniels of Windham, NH. Many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Manny Farinha and Mary Rowe.
There were no visiting hours. A Private Graveside Service was held Tuesday at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, N. Andover.
