Tech Te of Lowell, MA

 

5528 TeTech Te, 81, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed peacefully in his home on May 9, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on May 4, 1934 in Kandal, Cambodia in the province of Kho Thom. Mr. Te was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a devout Buddhist and followed the Buddhist teachings of peace, happiness, love, and respect.

He came to the United States in 1985 as a survivor of the Khmer Rouge. He loved his new country, studied to become a U.S. citizen at 77, and worked hard to provide his family the best opportunities in life. He took great pride in everything he did, from his humble work as a machine operator at Solo Cup Company to his most important role of all – being a committed family man.

Mr. Te is survived by his wife Yon Pen; his daughter, Kolab Yim; his son, Savorn Yim and his wife, Sandra Chan; his daughter, Monique Yim and her husband, Romie R. Huot; his sons Narith Yim and Chantha Yim; his daughter, Nora Yim Stern and her husband, Daniel A. Stern; and his loving grandchildren: Julie Yim, Judy Yim, Sidney Uy, Moryna Yim, Jenny Yim, Tommy Yim, Alyda Yim, Sandy Yim, Brandon Sun, Randy “Junior” Fournier, Jordan Sun, Lillyanna Yim, Saneiya Chan; and his great granddaughter, Alaina Sila Welch.

Temple service will take place at Glory Buddhist Temple on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 3:00 PM. Interment will take place at Westlawn II Cemetery on Saturday, May 16, 2015. Procession to Westlawn II Cemetery will start at Glory Buddhist Temple at 8:30 AM.
