Terrence “Terry” W. Moran Sr. of Lowell, MA


Mr. Terrence “Terry” W. Moran Sr., 73, a lifelong resident of Lowell, MA died Monday, July 17, 2017 at Lowell General Hospital.

He was married to Mrs. Lorraine Moran with whom he celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on April 21, 2017.

Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Leo A. Moran and Maude (Jackson) Moran. He graduated from Lowell Trade School with the class of 1961.

He retired from Polaroid of Waltham after 39 years of service.

Terry attended social events at the Lafayette Club in Lowell. He enjoyed bowling, classic cars, and summering at Paugus Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee in Laconia, NH. He was an avid boxing and Boston sports fan. He won the Silver Mittens Championship in 1955.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Terrence Jr. and his wife, Leanna of Westford, and Cory and his wife, Colleen of Ashburnham, MA; grandchildren, Kyle, Isabella, Jameson, Brett, Khloe, Delaney, and Trevor Moran; two brothers, Patrick and his wife, Leah of Hudson, NH and Leo Moran of CT.

He was the grandfather of the late Olivia Moran, and brother of the late Peter Moran.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lowell General and the VNA for all of the excellent care.

Visiting hours Mon. 3 to 7 P.M. Funeral Tues. at 10 A.M. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Chelmsford. Burial will be at a later date.
