Phon Nuth of Lowell

Phon Nuth, 94, of Lowell, MA died early Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a short illness.

She was married to the late Mut Oum.

Born in Battambang, Cambodia, she was the daughter of the late Sow Yong.

She fled the Khmer Rouge regime to the United States with her two daughters in 1983 and later became a U.S. citizen.

She was an active Buddhist in the Lowell Community and was always a giving person.

Family and home were important to Phon and she loved spending time with her large family and cooking for everyone. There would always be food on the table no matter the time of day. Cooking was her love language. She was undeniably the most beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters Chantha Oum of Lowell and Savy Oum of Lowell as well as four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours Friday, October 20, 2023 from 1:30-2:30PM at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA and then to Glory Temple, Lowell.
