Chhim Ngeth of Methuen, MA

Chhim Ngeth, eighty of Methuen, MA died late Friday, June 21, 2024, at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, MA after a battle with cancer.

Chhim was born on March 2, 1944, in Takeo, Cambodia, the daughter of the late Khim Ngeth and Keas Sok. She is the youngest of the six siblings: three girls and three boys.

Chhim Ngeth was the wife of Veuth Ouk, Mother of late the Bunseurth Ouk (AKA Suy Ouk), Bunsoeun Kianie Ouk, and Chansary Ouk.

She came to the United States in 1985 and became a U.S. citizen in 2005. She has four surviving children: Her oldest daughter Paula Edington her husband Jack Edington and two grandsons John Edington and William Edington of Middleboro, MA. Chanthy Ketch and her husband Robert E. Ketch and grandson Christian Ketch of Methuen, MA; Chantha Quinn and husband Dustin Quinn and grandson, Liam Quinn and granddaughter Jade Quinn of Irvington, VA. Bunseap Ouk and wife Salina Ouk and granddaughter Kiara Ouk and grandson Mason Ouk of San Bernardino, CA. Chhim also has several nieces, grand nieces, nephews and grand nephews.

She cherished life every day and woke up every morning with a bright spirit. She was a very warm, gentle, sweet, beloved wife, mom, and grandmother that loved spending time with her family. She was a very faithful Buddhist who prayed and was continually active at Wat Khmer Samaki Buddhist Temple. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and sewing. She touched so many people with her infectious smile, witty personality, and the ability to find the positive in any situation.
