Thomas Archibald, 76, of Chelmsford, MA, passed away on August 5, 2024, at Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Clancy.
Thomas was born in Lowell, MA, the son of Joseph Archibald and Eileen O’Connor. He graduated from Methuen High School with the Class of 1966 and immediately enlisted in the Navy, bravely serving overseas in Vietnam on the U.S.S TUTUILA.
After his military service, Thomas enjoyed a long and fulfilling career, retiring from Hewlett Packard, having been part of Digital, Compaq, and HP over the years.
Thomas cherished his time at the family lake house in North Berwick, Maine, and loved to sail his boat on the lake. He found joy in visiting local parks with his grandchildren and was an avid fan of Dunkin’ Donuts. He had a deep love for the ocean, Disney, Ireland, and sports, especially football, as a devoted fan of the Patriots.
Thomas is survived by his son, Michael Archibald of North Chelmsford, MA; his daughter, Leesa Hohmann, and her husband, Greg, of Westford, MA; his two grandchildren/ best friends, Brennen and Bryer; his brother, Joseph Archibald of Georgia and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, David Archibald.
Thomas will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends.
