George Henry Pollard, 75, of Westford, MA, passed away on October 23, 2024 at his home after a period of declining health.
He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (Quinn) Pollard who passed November 9, 2008.
Born in Montague, MA, George was the son of Leonard and Edith G. (Gerrish) Pollard. He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1967 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Reading from Framingham State College.
George dedicated his career to education, retiring from Chelmsford Public Schools; where he taught math at Chelmsford High School. In retirement, he continued to inspire young minds by teaching math at St. Michael’s School. He was a past member of the Chelmsford Elks and a past communicant of Blessed Trinity Parish St. Catherine’s Church in Westford, MA.
He enjoyed coaching youth sports, playing softball, reading and gardening.
He is survived by his sons Kevin Pollard of Westford, MA, Daniel Pollard of Chelmsford, MA, and Keegan Pollard of Stoddard, NH, as well as his daughters Shannon and Michael Toothaker of Winterport, ME, and Taylore Pollard of Westford, MA. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Maureen Quinn, grandchildren Addison Toothaker and Layla Pollard, and many nieces and nephews.
George was predeceased by his son John Pollard and his siblings the late Leonard, Edward, and Gertrude Pollard.

So sorry to his family for your loss..mr.Pollard was one the most easy going teacher..I appreciated him putting up with myself & few other cohorts in 8th grade math.. Great teacher & person all around.. God Bless.
