Harvey Morris Miller, 88, of North Chelmsford, MA, died peacefully December 27, 2024 at Bedford Hills in Bedford, NH.
Born in Lowell, MA he was the son of the late Harry D Miller and Marjorie (Morris) Miller.
He graduated from Chelmsford High School with the Class of 1955 and was on the basketball and football team, known for his “independent strut.”
Harvey also enjoyed playing baseball at Varney Park during his younger years.
In 1958 he married the late Lorraine (Nelson) Miller and in later years married the late Florence (Michaud) Miller.
He was a Chelmsford School Bus driver as well a Coach Bus driver.
Harvey proudly served on the Chelmsford Fire Department for 21 years.
He was a professional Greenskeeper at Nabnasset Lake Country Club and enjoyed manicuring the greens as well his own lawn.
He was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed Bruin’s season tickets.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Mahoney of North Chelmsford, his sister, Lois Shockley of Litchfield, NH, his daughter in law Sandra Miller of North Chelmsford, two step children, four grandchildren, four step grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Stephen Miller and brother to the late Kenneth Miller and Arthur “Loring” Miller.
Harvey’s visiting hours will be Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 9-11 AM at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, CHELMSFORD, MA. Followed by his Funeral Service at 11AM. Dear Karen and Lois and Family,
My sincere condolences on Harvey’s passing.
I remember him growing up and during my school years. He was a good guy.
