Mr. John J. Travalini of Windermere, FL died peacefully, January 18, 2025 in Ocoee, FL after a long illness.
He was married to Mrs. Virginia A. (Guzzi) Travalini with whom he would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2025.
Born in East Boston on June 11, 1936, the son of the late Alfred J. and Josephine (Martucci) Travalini. He was a graduate of Everett High School with the class of 1954.
He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War era.
He was employed as a software consultant with Digital Equipment Corp. until his retirement in 1999.
He was a member of The Church of Latter-Day Saints in Windermere, FL.
He was devoted to his family as well as his church. He had a passion for wood-working, painting, cooking, and carpentry.
Besides his wife Virginia he is survived by a son John A. Travalini of Peabody, MA, three daughters, Peggy-Ann Weiser of Tewksbury, MA, Kathleen and her husband Edward Vieira of Portsmouth, NH, and Jeannie Travalini and her partner Frank Rosa of Smithfield, RI, his brother Robert Travalini and husband Ben of Ogunquit, Me, his sister-in-law Nancy Guzzi of Windermere, FL, and his grandchildren Patrick Weiser, Laura Rowitsch, Erika Weiser, Kyle Vieira, and Zachary Vieira and his five great-grandchildren Charlotte, Nikolai, Penelope, Harper and Charlie and several nieces and nephews and dear friends. He is also survived by his stepdaughters Joanne Palmer and Donna Donnelly and his step grandchildren Melissa Guidi, Laura Knott, Jenna Manita Sullivan, David Manita, John Schatvet, Shawna Donnelly, Elizabeth Donnelly, and Paul O’Connell and 13 step great-grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his son-in-law, Thomas Weiser, his sister Geraldine Oswald, his brother Joseph Travalini, and his stepdaughter Linda Palmer Fretthold.
FUNERAL NOTICE
No visiting hours. Memorial Services will be held on February 8, 2025 at 2:00 pm, 3001 South Apopka Vineland Road
Orlando, FL 32835 and on February 12, 2025 at 11:00 at 21 Princeton Blvd. Lowell, MA 01851
Interment in Westlawn Cemetery, Little, Ma. Memorials may be made in his name to Boston Children’s Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave, Boston, Ma. 02115
