Priscilla T. (Landry) Reny, 90, of Westford, formerly of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Ossipee, NH, Chelmsford, MA, and Greece, NY, died surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley in Littleton.
She was married to the late Edward M.(Ted) Reny, who died in 1993, and the late Joseph G. Skehan, who died in 2005.
Born in Waterville, ME, she was the daughter of the late Fleren J. and June A. (Wood) Landry. She graduated from Waterville High School with the class of 1944 and attended Colby Secretarial School.
Priscilla and Ted raised their family in Chelmsford, MA, where she was active in the PTA and was a Girl Scout leader.
Priscilla worked as a secretary for the First Congregational Church in Chelmsford and as a teacher’s aide for the Chelmsford Public Schools. She also volunteered in the cancer ward at Lowell General Hospital. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Chelmsford before retiring and moving to Ossipee, NH, and later of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford.
Priscilla enjoyed quilting, crafts of all kinds, dancing, playing cards, pets and gardening. She and Ted enjoyed going on cruises and travelling. They traveled extensively within the U.S. and abroad before his death in 1993.
She is survived by her son, Mark and his wife, Kathleen Reny of Westford; daughter, Judith and her husband, Glenn Stewart of Colleyville, TX; seven grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Megan Reny, Katherine and her husband, Sean McDowell, Kristina Reny, Emily Garai and her wife, Erin, Anastasia, Vanessa, and Carolina Stewart; and three great grandchildren, Brendan and Lauren Reny and Caleb Garai.
At her request there are no visiting hours. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 11 at 11 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church, North Chelmsford, MA. Burial will be at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Waterville, ME, on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 10 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST.
