Alison L. (Jensen) Johnston, beloved mother, 56, of Dracut passed away unexpectedly at Lowell General Hospital, on December 10, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 22, 1965 in Exeter, NH, the daughter of Eleanor E. (Flaherty) Jensen, and the late Richard W. Jensen. She was educated in the Billerica and Westford public schools, graduating from Westford Academy in 1983. She went on to further her education earning her nursing degree from Tewksbury Hospital School of Nursing. She went on to work at the Bedford VA Hospital, Middlesex County Hospital, and Lowell General Hospital.
Alison had a heart of gold, always worrying about others before herself. She will always be remembered for her loving and warm personality. She loved animals, spending time outside, and visiting the ocean.
She is survived by her husband Douglas S. Johnston Jr, of 26 years. She also leaves her four beloved children, Joshua W. Jensen and his partner Heather Rosie of Chicago, IL, Alec D. Johnston, Tyler A. Johnston, and Haileigh B. Johnston all of Dracut.
She also leaves two sisters Sharon Poitras, and Virginia Battle; four brothers Richard Jensen, David Jensen, Kevin Jensen, and Walter Jensen, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Alison was predeceased by her grandmother and bestfriend Virginia L. (Patenaude) Jensen.

Funeral Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford, MA. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, North Chelmsford, MA.
