Arlene J. (Devno) Silk ,91, a longtime resident of Dunstable, MA passed away peacefully Saturday July 3, 2021 at a local healthcare facility following a period of declining health.
She was the wife of the late Robert A. Silk, Sr. who passed away in 1993.
Arlene was born in North Chelmsford on December 11, 1929 the daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys (Leach) Devno.
Arlene Graduated from Chelmsford High School – class of 1947 and was employed at Uniform Printing & Supply before her retirement in December 1989.
The greatest joys in her life were being a wife, mother and grandmother. Family was everything to Arlene. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Puritan Chapter #54, CHS Alumni and the former Treasurer for the Dunstable Senior Citizens Club and Dunstable Council on Aging. Arlene was also a former driver for the local Meals on Wheels program.
Arlene is survived by her daughters, Joyce Silk of Lowell, Brenda Mercier and her husband Dennis of Lowell, Heather Silk of North Berwick, ME and Bonnie Hoare and her husband Bob of Dunstable. Grandchildren Katie (Hanks) Cambell and her husband Nick of Pepperell along with their children Gage, Abigail & Callen, Brittney & Robert Hoare of Dunstable & Nichole Mercier of Stephenville, TX
Stepsons Robert A. Silk Jr. of Chelmsford and Donald T. Silk Sr. of Dunstable along with their families.
Arlene was predeceased by her brother Richard Devno who passed in 2004.
