Barbara L. (Goddard) Hession, 81, of N. Chelmsford, MA passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 while surrounded by her loving family.
Barbara and her husband, Robert Hession, celebrated over 51 years of marriage.
Born in Weymouth, MA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred Goddard. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Weymouth with the class of 1951.
Barbara was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a caring friend.
She was an avid reader and was also the bookkeeper for her son’s business. Her greatest joy, however, was to laugh and spend time with her family and friends.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Paul Hession of Merrimack, NH and John and his wife, Mina Hession of New York, NY; one brother, Robert and his wife, Susan Goddard of Revere, MA; one daughter-in-law, Helen Hession of Marshfield, MA; two grandchildren, Brittany and her husband, Blake Douglass and Alec Hession; two great-grandchildren, Ayden and Madilyn Douglass as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late, Mildred Bonner of Randolph, MA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a donation be made in Barbara’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
Visiting hours are Friday, May 1, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex Street, N.
