Bernadette Claire Goldthwaite, 88, of Dunstable, MA passed away early Thursday, September 5, 2024 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
She leaves her devoted husband, Willard (Johnny) Goldthwaite with whom she celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on February 8, 2024.
Born in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late George and Geraldine Warner.
Bernadette enjoyed many cruises with her husband throughout the years and spending time at their cottage in York Beach, Maine. Her biggest joy was spending time with family. She was an avid knitter and crocheter. So many afghans, sweaters, Christmas stockings, baby booties and hats were made over the years for her loved ones to treasure. She couldn’t pass up a good word search puzzle book which kept her busy in the later years. She also loved her Wednesdays at the Dunstable Senior Center spending time with her good friends.
Besides her husband, Bernadette is survived by her 7 children, Kirk Goldthwaite (Colleen), Dunstable, MA, Dawn Goldthwaite (Guy), Dunstable MA, Mark Goldthwaite (Renee), S. Tamworth, NH, Jan Yarborough (Scott), Dunstable, MA, Kim Cushion (Paul), Dunstable, MA, Denise Whittemore (Donald), Dunstable, MA, and Eric Goldthwaite (Christine), Nashua, NH. She has been blessed with 15 grandchildren, Sara, Erin, Rebecca, Mary, Amy, Stacy, John, Samantha, Ryan, John, Courtney, Allianne, Jenna, Rebecca and Meghan. As well as 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Allen Warner.
