Namaste Bhaisahab π
This is how I addressed my brother when we talked. Bhaisahab is sweetest word.
For me there has been only one Bhaisahab in the whole world.
He was handsome, loving, caring, adorable guide. He was my friend, like my father.
He was my mentor. He cared and loved me from a small child to school to college to good marriage.
He made me from a little pampered girl to a mature, responsible, hard working doctor.
He was a devoted son to parents.
” Bhagwat heera hai ” were comments from our grandmother.
My last ” Namaste Bhaisahab ” to you on your divine journey π
Your loving sister —Munnie

I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent some time with him last summer, sharing stories and laughter that I will forever cherish. He was a beacon of wisdom and kindness, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
My thoughts are with you – Raji, Neelu, Neetu, Sonia, Premji, Anandya, Mayura, and kids. Every word that each one of you spoke about Jaiman Sahab today at the service resonated deeply with me. I reflected upon the moments since 1981 when I met you all, and how I experienced the very characteristics you described.
May his soul rest in peace. May God give you all the courage and strength to bear this loss. Sending hugs and love to you all.

Remembering Uncle Bhagwat
My earliest memories of Uncle Bhagwat go back to when I was seven. Even then, I knew him as one of the kindest and gentlest souls. As my father’s eldest brother, he embodied the same boundless affection and profound kindness.
However, I came into close contact with him at nine when I moved to Naraina, New Delhi, to live with Uncle Bhagwat, Auntie Raji, and their children. I still recall respected Babaji asking Auntie Raji, “You already have three children; would you be able to keep one more?” Saying no would have been unthinkable for Uncle Bhagwat, but it was Auntie Raji’s generosity that made it possible. She welcomed me into their home as a fourth child, for which I remain deeply grateful.
Even then, I recognized Uncle Bhagwat’s charitable nature. He laughed at my silly jokes and always made me feel special. At that age, I could not fully grasp the magnitude of their kindness. Raising children, especially in a middle-class family, is never easyβlet alone taking in one who is not their own. Looking back, I cannot say how my life would have unfolded otherwise, but I know that much of what I am today was shaped by their generosity. By giving me a home and the chance to study, Uncle Bhagwat and his family demonstrated true selflessness.
Though I lived with him for only three years before he migrated to the U.S., his influence has lasted a lifetime. I strive to emulate his kindness and generosity, knowing that even coming close to the man he was would be an achievement. His words will always stay with me: “It is not enough to love your children; one must respect them.” This simple yet profound belief defined his lifeβlove and respect for all.
He truly embodied “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”β”the world is one family.”
Uncle, you will always live in our hearts, just as my late father, Krishan Dayal Jaiman, our respected Babaji and Dadiji-late Ratan Lal and Prabhavati (Sharma) Jaiman, and our revered great-grandmother, late Gauri Devi, continue to live within us.
Sincerely yours
suniljaiman
