Brendan Mungovan, 81, of North Chelmsford, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at High Point Hospice House, Haverhill, MA.
He was married to Eileen (Lunderville) Mungovan with whom he celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on May 23, 2024.
Born in Lowell, MA. he was the beloved son of John Mungovan and Margaret (Cunney) Mungovan.
He graduated from Chelmsford High School with the Class of 1961.
He retired from Polaroid where he worked for over 38 years as an engineer.
Brendan enjoyed cars, watching NASCAR and The Price Is Right. He kept his mind sharp by doing Soduko puzzles. He really enjoyed spending his summers with family and friends in Wells Beach, Maine. His most treasured time was sitting on the wall overlooking their favorite beach alongside his beloved wife and best friend, Eileen, with whom they shared 57 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Brendan J. Mungovan and his wife Christine of Bridgewater, MA, his daughter Jennifer Mungovan of North Chelmsford, MA., his granddaughters Meghan and Elise Mungovan both of Bridgewater, MA., his brother-in-law William Lunderville of Revere, MA, his sister-in-law Barbara and her husband Bob White and their children Bobby and Krystal White of Ludlow, MA., his sister-in-law Ann Mungovan, his nephew Brian and his wife Kristen Mungovan of Colorado, and his niece Jill Mungovan of South Carolina. He is predeceased by his brother Jack Mungovan of Simsbury, CT. Brendan is survived by many cherished and loved family and friends, especially his friends who were like family on Church St. in North Chelmsford and at Beach Acres in Wells, Maine.

Visiting hours Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 4 PM-7 PM at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA. Funeral Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 115 Middlesex St. North Chelmsford, MA.
