Carl A. Magnusson of Chelmsford, 80, died peacefully at home on Sunday December 6th, surrounded by his loving family. Carl attended the Tewksbury schools and entered the US Navy in 1953. He was stationed at Norfolk VA and served on two destroyers in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Tewksbury/Wilmington lodge of Elks and was also a past exalted ruler of that lodge and was an honorary life member there. He was also a member of the American Legion post 313 of Chelmsford.
He was the loving husband to Maureen Magnusson and father to Paul Bauch and his wife Sarah of Pepperrell and Jennie Walsh and her husband Joseph of Chelmsford. He was the grandfather to Joshua, Jonathan, and Joseph Walsh. He was predeceased by his sisters the late Irene St. Cyr Bartel of Florida and the late Doris O’Connell of New Hampshire.
No Visiting hours. Funeral on Saturday Dec. 12, 2015 at 10 A.M. at Mason Congregational Church, 33 Valley Rd. Mason, NH 03223. Followed by his burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in his name to MSPCA at mspca.org/donate-now/tribute-honor-and-memorial-giving
