Champy Tieng, 67, a long time resident of Lowell, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell.
She was born in Ratanakiri Cambodia, the daughter of the late Kangacht Tieng and Vay Proeung.
Champy was the wife of Yoeun Nuy with whom she shared 41 years of marriage.
She came to the United States in May of 1985 and became an United States citizen in 2008. For many years she was able to make a warm and loving home for her family.
She enjoyed gardening and fishing and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ms. Tieng is survived by her husband Yoeun Nuy of Lowell, her four sons, Sambath Yoeun and his companion Samith Pon, Sambo Yoeun and his wife An Pheng, Savann Yoeun, and Rithy Yoeun all of Lowell, three daughters, Sarena Nath and her husband Hin Oeur of Lowell, Monnie Rin and her companion Chumno Keo of Lowell, and Sokonthea Yoeun and her Companion John Ouch of Lowell, a sister Dy Tieng and her husband Kreang Moeuy of Lowell, 9 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Friday, July 31 from 1:30PM to 2:30PM at Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex St. Chelmsford , her Funeral procession will follow to Trairatanaram Buddhist Temple, 21 Quigley Ave. Chelmsford, MA 01863. Her funeral procession will leave the Trairatanaram Buddhist Temple on Saturday, August 1 at 8:00 AM and will conclude at Westlawn II Cemetery, Lowell, where interment will take place.
