Claire A.(Coffey) Brouillette, 84, of Chelmsford passed away peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Brigham Manor in Newburyport, MA.
She was married to the late Frederick Brouillette, who preceded her passing on September 2, 2011.
Born in Medford, she was the daughter of the late John (Java) and Claire Coffey. She graduated from the Howe High School in Billerica with her dear life-long friend Betty (Mahoney) Ferguson.
Claire was a wonderful home maker and beloved mother to four boys. After raising her four sons she also worked for Raytheon, various banks in Chelmsford and Westford and the Elder Care Services.
She was a proud long-time resident of Chelmsford and communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
Claire was a voracious reader with an extremely inquisitive and open mind, and was a constant visitor of the Chelmsford Library. With her husband and four boys, she inevitably became an avid red sox fan, and in her early years was an excellent softball player. She enjoyed dancing and having a good time at the Chelmsford Elks cooking for her family and many friends, and above all else, loved a good laugh and stimulating conversation with everyone who had the fortunate pleasure of interacting with her. You will be so deeply missed Mum.
She is survived by her sons, Stephen Brouillette of Chelmsford, Frederick and his wife, Cheryl Brouillette of Amherst, NH, Michael Brouillette of Hudson, NH and Scott and his wife, Jennifer Brouillette of Haverhill, MA; sister, Janet and her husband, George Fitzgerald of Burlington, MA; grandchildren, Joshua, Jared, Matthew and Sarah Brouillette; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John “Jack” Coffey, Paul Coffey, James Coffey and Arlene Coffey.
Graveside Service Thursday Feb. 2, 2017 at 12Noon in the Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, MA 978-251-4041.
