Claude Roland Gelinas of North Chelmsford, MA

Claude Roland Gelinas, 81, of North Chelmsford, MA, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, at Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus. He was the devoted husband of the late Maureen (Cossette) Gelinas.

Born in Lowell, MA, Claude was the cherished son of Hervey J. Gelinas and Angeline (Boisvert) Gelinas. He graduated from Westford Academy with the Class of 1960 and went on to build a successful career as the proud owner and operator of Diamond Floor Service in Lowell, MA.

In his younger years, Claude found joy in snowmobiling and playing horseshoes with friends and family. He cherished time spent at his vacation home at Mount Vista, Campton, NH, surrounded by his loving family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Claude is survived by his daughter, Michelle Leininger and her husband Mark of Keene, NH; his son, Michael Gelinas and his wife Cheryl of Harmony, FL; his stepdaughter Kristen Cossette-Koen and her husband Jason of North Chelmsford, MA; his stepdaughter-in-law, Kim Cossette of Merrimack, NH; and his stepsons Robert “Chip” Cossette of North Chelmsford, MA, and Darren Cossette and his wife Christine of North Chelmsford, MA.

He is also survived by his brother John Gelinas, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Claude was predeceased by his stepson, Roland Cossette, and his siblings, Raymond Gelinas, Clement Gelinas, Roger Gelinas, Doris Estright, and Pauline Pintal.
