Collette T. Fitzgerald, a lifelong resident of Lowell, MA, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Fitzgerald.

Born and raised in Lowell, Collette was the daughter of the late Pierre and Lea (Perron) Ducharme. She was a proud graduate of St. Joseph School, Class of 1956, and went on to dedicate 25 years of service to the original Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union in Lowell before retiring.

Collette had a deep love for travel, cherishing trips with her husband, especially their adventures to Bermuda and across Europe. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her grandchildren, who brought her great joy.

She is survived by her son, Dan Fitzgerald of Londonderry, NH; her daughter-in-law, Karen Kedrowski of Ames, IA; and her adored grandchildren, Patrick Fitzgerald, Sean Fitzgerald, Jonathan Fitzgerald, and Suzanne Fitzgerald. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews: Peter and Virginia MacKenzie of Davisville, WV; David and Melanie MacKenzie and their son Ian of Brockton, MA; Gregory MacKenzie and his fiancée Lisa Callahan of Raynham, MA; and Michelle MacKenzie of Lowell, MA.

In addition to her husband, Collette was predeceased by her son, Timothy Fitzgerald, and her sister and brother-in-law, Priscilla and Don MacKenzie.

Dan and family – I’m so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. Many years did I work with Collette at the “original” Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union and have many fond memories of her. May she rest in peace and now be with her beloved Tom and son Tim.
Prayers to all – Michelle Silveira
