It was a shock to hear the news about Dahvy. Our hearts go out to Dahnie, Van, her whole family. Dahvy was so warm and kind and generous from the moment we met her at Wellesley she was bubbly and adopted us as her little sister and mentee. Dahvy was always lighting up every room she entered. It’s a huge loss for the all the communities Dahvy was a part of. We will miss her.

Dahvy was such a helpful, generous, kind person who did so much to promote the voices of refugees in Lowell, especially for youth. She helped me a lot on a project I did with students years ago. What an enormous loss for all who knew her.

Dahvy was one of those rare people who light up the room and make everyone feel loved and important. I was fortunate to be on the Mill City Grows board overlapping her tenure. We had so much fun together, including pulling together a MCG fundraiser teaching people to make spring rolls, although I can take no credit for the effort – Dahvy did it all! She was a gracious friend and I’m saddened to know I won’t see her again in this lifetime. My sincere condolences to her family and friends during this heartbreaking time.
