Dave was a true brother. I’m deeply grateful for the memories we have together growing up at congregation shalom. We had a reconnection from opposite coasts through a shared passion for mushrooms and a connection to the land. His friendship, artistry, sense of humor, and passion for life will be treasured and deeply missed. My sincerest condolences to Susan and Dennis, Ben. Sending love and prayers of healing.

Dear Dennis and Susan, I’m so sorry to hear about your precious son’s passing. A parent should never mourn the loss of their child in my humble opinion. I’m hoping that the memory of the bright light that he shined while he was with us on earth brings you comfort and some peace. My thoughts are with you and your family. Please accept my condolences.
Sincerely yours,
Michael Shapiro

Dear Susan, Dennis, and Ben,
I am so very sorry for your terrible loss. I did not have the privilege of knowing David, but I have had the privilege over the years of knowing Susan, her warmth, integrity, and grit, and her deep love of family. I hope that your family’s strength, happy memories, and the many loving arms that you all so richly deserve will support and comfort you as you mourn. May his memory be for a blessing.
