Deing Phoeuk of Lowell, MA

Deing Phoeuk, 82, of Lowell, MA, died peacefully at her home on June 10, 2024. Deing was the beloved wife of the late Chim Sao.

Born in Battambang, Cambodia, Deing was the cherished daughter of Phoeuk Leav and Bun Leav. She emigrated to the United States in December 1989, and in 2005, she proudly became a U.S. citizen.

A devoted and active member of the Trairatanaram Temple in North Chelmsford, Deing was known for her generosity and loving spirit. She was an exceptional cook who delighted in preparing meals for her family and friends, ensuring that everyone was well-fed and cared for. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored.

Deing is survived by her five children: Chaoseng Sao and his wife Vanna Meach, Mallee Norregaard and her husband Brian Norregaard, Chaosen Chim and his wife Sao Ly Chim, Chantrea Chim and his wife Somath Chim, and Peov Davies and her husband James Davies. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly.
