I only had the pleasure of meeting Dennis one time with his dear wife,Julia ( whom I had “met” on the NASA FaceBook page when she had posted an interesting comment that I felt compelled to answer)… From then on,I felt that I had met a friend that I wish I had met years earlier…We seemed to be on the same wavelength… then on a visit with my daughter to Massachusetts a couple of years ago, we arranged to meet Julia & Dennis for lunch in a nice restaurant in Gloucester ( I think it was…) and in meeting Den, I had that same feeling that I had known these lovely people for years,so have continued to keep in touch with Julia through FaceBook…My thoughts and prayers are with you,Julia, and with yours & Dennis’s family at this very sad time… I can only hope that your memories of happier & unforgettable events will help you through this very sad time and Dennis will become your guiding star watching over you with his love and lighting your way… Sincerely, your Facebook friend, Gwenn, from Ontario, Canada…

Being Dennis’s neighbor and friend for many years I can honestly say that I have rarely met a more truely decent man. I dont believe that I ever heard him raise his voice in anger or utter a harsh word towards anyone. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Dear Julia and Jennifer,
I just heard about Dennis and want to send my love and prayers to you. Although it was a very long time ago that I saw you all regularly come into the library together, my memories are of such a special loving family. Wishing you strength at this time of sorrow.
