Diana Lee Wright, 79, of North Chelmsford, MA died Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Care One at Essex Park in Beverly, MA.
Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Lillian (Green) Ricciardi.
Diana graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1960. After high school she went on to earn her Associate’s degree from Fisher Junior College with the Class of 1962.
She retired from the Town of Chelmsford’s Board of Health Department after 30 years of service to the town.
Diana enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, and other crafts, and was an advocate for animal welfare but above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She took great pleasure in watching her grandchildren participate in their music, sports, and theater activities.
She is survived by her son, Douglas Wright of North Chelmsford, MA; her daughter and her husband, Pamela and Daniel Carey of Chelmsford, MA; her two grandchildren, Brian and Amy Carey; her brother, Peter Ricciardi of Bradford, VT; her sister and her husband, Sandra and Wayne Kilburn of Chelmsford, MA; and her several nieces and nephews.

So very sorry to hear about the passing of Miss Diana.
I had the pleasure of being her care taker for the past year. She was a true gem, a beautiful person, smart, funny and just so lovely. We had some wonderful times together that I will never forget. Diana loved her family so much and always talked about them. Especially her Grandchildren Amy and Brian. She was so very proud of everything they accomplished.
She spoke fondly every day about her son Doug and Daughter Pam who were always there to help her. I will really miss her laughter and funny jokes. She will be truly missed.
