Diane Grace Dormitzer, age 74, a longtime resident of North Chelmsford, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in Florida.
She was married to Peter Dormitzer with whom she celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary this past June 14th.
Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Evan and Isabelle Davie.
Diane was raised in Burlington and graduated Burlington High School with the class of 1967. She organized Soc Hops with the priest in Burlington for many successful years for students.
She retired in 2019 as a well-known realtor working out of Chelmsford for over 40 years. Currently she was the co-owner of Chelmsford Fire Place Center which she founded with her husband in 1978.
Diane enjoyed spending time with her family at Lake Winnipesaukee for many years since 1980. She wintered in Florida with her husband for over 23 years.
Besides her husband, Diane is survived by her son Corey Dormitzer, a partner at the well-known family business, and his wife Darci of Amherst, NH; two grandchildren, Eliana and Kiley Dormitzer; a brother John Davie and his wife Debbie and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE
Visitation is Wednesday August 2, 2023 from 3 to 5 PM at the Dolan Funeral Home 106 Middlesex St. Chelmsford MA 01863. Immediately following the visitation everyone is invited to join the family at the Princeton Station Restaurant from 6-9 PM for a buffet meal. Memorials may be made in her name to the Boston Children’s Hospital Trust 401 Park Dr. Suite 602 Boston, MA 02215.
