Donald Andrew Jelley or “DJ” as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, passed away in his home in Lowell, Massachusetts, on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the age of 92.
Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late George Jelley and the late Lillian (Miller) Jelley.
Donald graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1951 and was Captain and All Star of the Lowell High football team. He served in the U.S. Army First Signal Corp in Germany.
He was employed by Lowell Gas Company for over 41 years.
He was a member of the First United Baptist Church.
Donald is survived by his sister Pat Scaplen of Westford, MA, nieces, nephews, and his extended family on the Gentle side.
He was the fiancé of the late Helen Gentle of Lowell who passed away on July 24, 2023.
FUNERAL NOTICE
