Donald E. Stitham, 84, of Chelmsford, MA formerly of Littleton, Maine died Sunday April 10, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
He was the husband of Jeanette (Drew) Stitham with whom he would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary.
Born in Houlton, ME on April 28, 1931, he was a son of the late Ralph and Laura Stitham. He grew up in Littleton, Maine
As a young man he designed a modern dairy facility in Littleton, Maine.
Donald owned and operated Modern Builders in Chelmsford. He previously owned Don Stitham Construction Co. in Winchester, MA.
He was an active outdoors man who was an avid Red Sox fan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Anne McCallum of Sarasota, FL; two sons, Frank L. Stitham and his wife Margot of Wayland, MA, and Ronald E. Stitham of Chelmsford, MA; a sister, Vera Hutchinson of Monticello, ME; two grandchildren, Olivia and Luke Stitham; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son in-law, Dale McCallum and his siblings, Malcolm Stitham (infant), Vance Stitham and Marcella Goode.
Predeceased by his father and mother, Ralph and Laura Stitham of Littleton, Maine.
There are no visiting hours. Graveside services will be announced at a later date. Burial in Littleton Cemetery, Littleton, ME.
