Doris M. Bowmar of Milford, NH

Doris M. Bowmar, 75 years, of Milford NH, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2022, after a short illness. She is predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Ronald Bowmar.

Doris was born in Lowell, MA on November 28, 1946. She was the daughter of Earl R. Gilson and Doris V. (Ross) Gilson. Doris was a graduate of Lowell High School, class of 1964.

Over the years Doris lived in Tyngsborough, MA, Nashua, NH, York, PA, Longwood, FL and Milford, NH. She worked for CNA insurance for 26 years as a Senior Processing Agent before retiring in 2013.

Doris is survived by two sons – Trevor Bowmar of Okmulgee, OK and Scott Bowmar and his wife Brigitte Bowmar, of Weare/Goffstown, NH. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Gabrielle and her husband Nick, Gavin, and Grace. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, William Bowmar (and his wife Karen), and 2 sisters in law, Prudence Tuggle (and her husband, the late Leonard Tuggle) and MaryLou Bartkowiak (and her husband David), her cousin, Sandra Holland, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Doris enjoyed antiquing. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. Doris enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. Doris enjoyed her cat, Sissy. Doris was a strong independent woman who didn’t like to rely on others, she never wanted to be a bother to anyone. Doris was the kindness and light in the lives of many. She will be missed.
