Dorothy A. (Lane) Faram of Chelmsford

Dorothy Alice (Lane) Faram, 97, a lifelong resident of Chelmsford, MA died Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Westford House in Westford, MA.

She was married to the late James W. Faram who died on May 21, 1989.

Born in Chelmsford, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Julia Lane.  She was educated in the Chelmsford Public Schools.

She retired from the Cleghorn Folding Box Company of Lowell in 1986.

She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Chelmsford.

Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, coloring in adult coloring books, walking and was an avid reader.

She is survived by two sons, Robert and his wife Christina Silk of Chelmsford and Donald Silk of Dunstable; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother-in-law of the late Maryann Silk, and the sister of the late Herbert Lane, Robert Lane and Eleanor Devries.

Dorothy’s visitation will be Friday, Nov. 3, 2023 from 10 to 11 am followed by a funeral Service at 11am at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST.
