Dorothy “Dot” Lorraine Proulx, 90, of Chelmsford, MA passed away Tuesday evening, November 26, 2024 at Bridges by Epoch in Nashua, NH.
She was married to the late Gerard Proulx who passed away December 2, 2020.
Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Antoinette Harnois. She graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1952.
She retired from Fox Nursery School of Chelmsford, and previously worked at Raytheon.
Dot was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of N. Chelmsford, MA. She was a former member of Alpine Square Dancing of Chelmsford, MA. She enjoyed bowling, camping, cooking, making soup, and cross-country skiing. She loved spending time with her family and friends at the Heights.
She is survived by her sons Gerald Proulx of Nashua, NH, Michael and Patricia Proulx of Pepperell, MA and Kenneth and Jenny Proulx of Chelmsford, MA, her sisters, Dolores “Dolly” Giroux of S. Kingston, RI and Diane and Steven Ashbacher of Naples, FL, grandchildren, Nicole and her husband, Gregg Gelinas, Jared and his wife, Allyson Proulx, Danielle and her husband, Wesley Krupp, Kaila, Kirsten and Emily Proulx, Charles Redden and his wife Natalia, and her great-grandchildren, Megan, Ayda-Jane, Hudson, and Quinn and many nieces and nephews.
Dot’s visiting hours will be Tues., Dec. 3, 2024 from 3 to 7 P.M. Funeral Wed., Dec. 4, 2024 at 10am from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Church, N. Chelmsford, MA. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford, MA. Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
