Edith E. (Richards) Kearin of Lowell

Edith E. (Richards) Kearin, 86, of Lowell died surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Faihaven Health Care Center in Lowell.

She was married to the late Robert Kearin, who died on April 10, 1969.

Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late William and Edith Richards.

Edith and her husband owned and operated the ABC Adjustment Bureau of Westford. In her early years, she worked for the Educator Cookie Company of Lowell.

Edith was a beautiful woman with a warm loving soul, who touched everyone she met and brightened everyone’s day with her sense of humor, laugh and infectious smile.

She was a devoted homemaker to her family and treasured spending time with them especially her grandchildren.

Edith was an artist who enjoyed sketching faces. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing, doing crafts and feeding the birds. Edith was a lover of animals.

She is survived by her sons, Curtis Kearin of Tyngsboro and Thomas Kearin of Peru; daughter, Lori Kearin of Tyngsboro; daughter-in-law, Ann-Marie Kearin of Hudson, NH; brother, William Richards of Pepperell; grandchildren, C.J. Wooster II, David McKay II, Tim Kearin, Tom Kearin, Cayla Kearin and Billy Kearin; two great grandchildren, Daniel and Brody Kearin and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late William Kearin, Richard Kearin, Daniel Kearin and Timothy Kearin, the sister of the late Doria Richards, Reginald Richards, Ronald Richards, Edmund Richards, Alice Fiedler and Katherine Arpin and the grandmother of the late Ronnie Wetmore.

The family would like to thank all of the staff at Fairhaven for the special care, kindness and compassion they gave Edith over the years.
