Edna Mae (Welsh) Lezotte, 76, of Lowell, MA passed away peacefully in her home, Wed. April 20, 2016.
She was married to the late Francis Lezotte, who passed away May 24, 2007.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on Feb. 11, 1940, she was the daughter of the late James and Edna Welsh. She was raised in Philadelphia and graduated from Olney High School. She earned her Master’s Degree and Doctorate Degree from Boston University.
Edna worked as a Therapist in her private practice in Chelmsford. She previously worked at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton, Framingham State University, St. Mary’s Church in Chelmsford and Holy Family Church in Lowell. She worked with the Archdiocese of Boston. She also founded the Community Table of Lowell. Edna loved traveling internationally, most recently to Cuba.
Edna was a communicant of St. Mary Church of Chelmsford.
She is survived by a son, Francis Lezotte, and his companion, Kasha Leighton of West Hyannisport, MA; two grandchildren, Fiona and Deliana Lezotte, her dog, Christy, and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours Thurs. 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Friday at 10:00 AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford, MA. Burial in Lowell Cemetery, Lowell.

I’m am very sorry for your loss. Edna was a beautiful human being. She helped me a lot on my previous job on how to deal with difficult patients and problem solving skills. She was amazing and inspirational to all of us who met her.
I’m sure she is now in Heaven with all the ones she loves and lost.

I was privileged to get to know Edna through the Daughters of Abraham interfaith book group in the Lowell area. She was such an interesting and accomplished woman and I was enriched by knowing her. Sorry for your loss. Edna will be missed by many.
