Edward Joseph Woodlock, 87, of Chelmsford, died Saturday January 28, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital.
He was married to the late Annette (Martel) Woodlock who died in 2012.
Born in Chelsea he was the son of the late Ronald and Margaret (Smith) Woodlock. He graduated from Malden Catholic High School with the class of 1953 and proudly served in the Army National Guard.
He retired after over 40 years from New England Telephone Company now known as Verizon. Edward started working in Malden as a cable splicer before retiring in Dracut from the Regional Headquarters as the Outside Plant Manager.
He enjoyed traveling and hiking, especially in the mountains with his longtime friend Billy King. He was a longtime resident of Chelmsford since 1967.
He is survived by his sons, Steven Woodlock and his wife Deb Matz of Plano, TX, Richard and his Fiancee Dorothy Febbi of Chelmsford, Ronald Woodlock and his wife Ellen of Chelmsford, and Michael Woodlock and his wife Keliann of Lowell; daughter, Laurie Pomerleau and her husband Brett of Ashby, MA; six grandchildren, Kyle, Alanna, Anna, Thomas, and Kate Woodlock and Ashley Gledhill, three great grandchildren, Meredith, Nora, and Aimsley; three sisters, Ann, Margaret Rose, and Kathy; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Mary Louise.
Visiting hours Thursday 4 to 7 P.M. Funeral Friday at 10 from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Church in Chelmsford. Burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O.
