Elizabeth A. St. Onge, 77, a lifelong resident of Westford, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Friday, March 27, 2015. Elizabeth joins her husband, Norman “Bucky” St. Onge in heaven after his passing 6 years ago. Their family is comforted in the knowledge that they are reunited in peace and love.
Elizabeth was born on October 19, 1937, the daughter of the late Ethel and Richard Fleury. Elizabeth was educated in the Westford Public school system, graduating from Westford Academy. Mrs. St. Onge earned her nursing degree at Middlesex Community College.
Mrs. St. Onge, like her husband, was very involved with the food pantry at the Westford Senior Citizen’s Center, and donated huge amounts of time , energy, and other resources supplying food and holiday gift baskets to the less fortunate in Westford. Elizabeth was also a dedicated supporter of St. Jude’s Hospital.
Great pleasure and joy for Elizabeth was found in her gardens and wildlife she loved deeply. Her deep caring for all living creatures made nursing a natural fit for her career choice. Mrs. St. Onge possessed a very strong love for God and her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by many.
Elizabeth dearly loved spending time with her husband and family on the Maine coast. Many family memories were made during those times, and Liz and Bucky spent as much time as possible enjoying the beaches and shores of all of their favorite places.
Elizabeth St. Onge, leaves her four children, Laura St. Onge and her partner Michael Lemack of Sanford, ME, Norman St. Onge Jr of Burlington, VT, David St. Onge and his wife Barbara (Harpley) of Carlisle, MA, and Steven St. Onge of St. John, USVI; two grand daughters, Nicole St. Onge and Kimberly St. Onge, as well as siblings Judy Marcopolous and husband James, Ann Rielly and husband Brian, Louise Bellrose and husband Henry, Ethel White, and Thomas Fleury and wife Natalie as well as many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Mrs. St. Onge’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. The life of Elizabeth and her husband, Bucky, will be celebrated with much love, laughter, and reminiscing of their lives that were filled with much love at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to The Westford Ambulance Fund of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.

Laura, Norman, David, Steven – very sorry to find out about your loss. For some reason, I thought of you all and googled to see if you were still in Westford. This is the Verna Cheeseman that lived across the street from you in Westford. I have also lost both my parents. We had our differences as children, but I wanted to pass along my sympathies – even though very late. Blessings! Verna Longwell
