Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Grady, 77, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, MA passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 16, 2022 at Palm Center in Chelmsford.
Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nora (Blott) Veiga.
She graduated from Lowell High School, Lowell, MA, with the class of 1963.
Betty was a communicant of St. Mary Church of Chelmsford, MA.
She retired from Federal Bank in Ayer, MA and previously worked at Middlesex Savings, Citizen Bank and Union National Bank.
She was a member of Red Hat Society, and the Sixties Chicks.
Betty enjoyed downhill skiing, playing tennis and spending time with her friends.
She is survived by her sisters, Noreen and Austin Moody of Poguoson, VA, Gail and Douglas Milne of Tyngsboro, MA and Carol and William Fallon of Fairhaven, MA, her brother, Martin and Alice Veiga of Lowell, MA, two sisters-in-law, Teresa Veiga of Fresno, CA, and Terry Veiga of Chelmsford, MA and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Joseph Veiga and John Veiga.
Betty’s visiting hours will be Fri., Aug. 19, 2022 from 3 to 5 pm. Funeral will be Sat. Aug. 20, 2022 at 8am from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9am at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford, MA. Rest In Peace Betty. I was going to visit you today at Palm Manor and got the call you had passed. I am so glad Mae and I got to visit you a few weeks ago. We have lots of great memories doing lunches, Red Hats Society, Hampton Beach and many other places we went together. Till we meet again❤️
