Ernest Nazaire Lanteigne, 88, of N. Chelmsford, MA passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital.
He was married to the late Martha C. Peaslee who passed away on September 4, 2005.
Born in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late Maxime and Alma (Gionet) Lanteigne.
Ernest graduated from St. Joseph High School, Lowell, with the class of 1952. He later proudly served with the United States Army from 1957-1959.
He retired from Turner Construction of Boston, MA.
Ernest was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Parish in N. Chelmsford and a member of the Chelmsford Elks.
As a member of the Chelmsford Senior Center, he enjoyed all of the activities. He also enjoyed gardening as well as bowling in various leagues in the Lowell area. He was an avid ballroom dancer.
Ernest is survived by his son James Allen of Corpus Christi, TX, his daughters Diane Allen-Schlott of Windham, NH and Robin Lanteigne of Patchogue, NY; his six grandchildren Rebecca Gosson, Karen and Glen Sutton, Stephanie and Nicholas Folson, Rich Schlott and Joseph Sarrow, Deirdre Allen, and Daniel Allen; six great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Alphonse Lanteigne.

Visiting hours Thursday, March 30 from 4-7PM at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA. Funeral Friday, March 31 at 1PM at St. John the Evangelist, 115 Middlesex St, N. Chelmsford. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the Chelmsford Senior Center. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.
