A caring family man, patriot, astute professional, friend, and much more has sadly left our world behind. It was a privilege at every interaction, and his direct but caring pragmatism will always be cherished by myself and many others whom he mentored. My condolences to all grieving; as I write this sadly, I remember how Ernie brought joy and intellect with every quick and dry quip, and hear his tone that I knew would be followed by a wry smile. Ernie – rest well friend, you’ve left many touched by your strength to continue fighting for what you believe in.

I was saddened to read the news that Ernie has left this world. I first met Ernie about 25 years ago when I was a young Banker with limited networking experience. Ernie took me under his wing and taught me a thing or 10 about networking and life. Ernie was kind, philanthropic, and always willing to help. Over the years, we referred business to each other. Ernie was known as the “Loan Arranger” and he wanted to be called when the bank said No! Ernie will be sorely missed by all. My deepest condolences to Ernie’s family. May his memory be a blessing. RIP Ernie.

I feel blessed to have met and got to know Ernie. We met as professionals building relationships to help our clients. But Ernie quickly became a mentor for me as I was working my way up in the world. My favorite part about my breakfast and lunch meetings with Ernie was that it was not “toast and coffee.” It was a big plate of good food and great conversation. He was so committed to get to know me and I cherish the time I had with him. There are no coincidences, every person that crosses our path are put there for a reason. Thank you, universe, for putting Ernie in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. -Sharna

My deepest condolences to Ernie’s family. I was fortunate enough to meet Ernie about 20 years ago. He was always a no-nonsense straight shooter but always had time to help someone, whether with mentoring or introductions. I can’t think of anyone more respected and liked in our large business circle. He has left a large void for sure.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam (May he rest in peace).

As a member of Omicron Pi fraternity, a friend of Ernie, and former president of the Alumni, I offer my heartfelt condolences to the family, along with a host of other fraternity brothers of Ernie’s with whom I have been in touch. We remember Ernie fondly as an honorable man with a kind and open heart, and a natural sense of humor. He was one of the most respected and wisest members of the fraternity.
