Geraldine “Geri” Podgorni of Hudson, NH and Littleton, MA, passed away peacefully in the presence of family members on Thursday March 13, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Marion Irene Palmer, her brother James “Jimmy” Palmer, and her sister Shirley Wyman.
Geraldine is survived by her brother and role model, Joseph (Beverly) Palmer of Westford, MA, twin sister Joan (Leonard) Mills of Chelmsford, MA, her cherished son Derek (Erica) Podgorni of Littleton, MA and her treasured grandchildren, Emily Podgorni of Madison, WI, Aaron Podgorni and Kristin Podgorni of Littleton, MA.
As a mother and grandmother, Geri’s love and support were unwavering. She was always present at her son’s and grandchildrenās events, cheering them on with enthusiasm and pride, no matter the size of their accomplishments. Geri held deep affection and respect for her daughter-in-law Erica.
She was a natural leader, and in the late 1970s, at a time when female corporate leadership was rare, Geri rose to significant leadership positions in her company. Grateful for the guidance of her mentors and role models, Geri was passionate about giving back. She dedicated herself to helping others rise, taking great joy in their achievements.
Geri enjoyed reading biographies of historical figures, was a political news enthusiast, and a lover of cats – two of which she held particularly dear.
Geri was truly blessed to have had a wonderful family, loyal friends, and supportive colleagues who enriched her life. She will be fondly remembered for her legacy of love, leadership, and compassion by all who knew her.

My heart and prayers are with Gerieās beautiful family. Especially Joanie and Derek. š¦š¦š¦
Geri was my friend, she brought so much laughter into my life. She was such a force. A force of love, goodness, fun, spunk; and she was just so genuine. Some say I helped her, and I hope I did; but knowing her was truly a blessing and an honor for me. I have so many great memories that I treasure. These are not corny words- itās all just too true.
I believe her spirit is still with us.
I was technically helping her, but she helped me more than I can sayā¦ by being who she was. What a cream of the crop person.
Times with her; are some of my favorite memories of my life. And will always remain in my mind and heart. And the love I witnessed between her and Joan and Shirley is another gift Iām so grateful for.
Sheād always catch me if I said anything remotely negative about myself, and whenever I fixed her tv or did anything new to help herā¦. Sheād say in a humorous manner, ā Now, Put that on your resume.ā š¤£
I think of her so oftenā¦ and always smile. She had so many amazing qualities that are so admirable.
