Gilbert Cabrera Santiago, 68, of Lowell, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital.
He was born in Puerto Rico and was the son of the late Gilberto “Gil” Cabrera and Francisca Santiago.
Gilbert retired from State Garden, Inc. and in his younger years worked as an executive chef in New York City. He loved all types of music and enjoyed working on cars and cooking.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Angela M. (Catalano) Santiago of Lowell, his children, Martin Cabrera Conde of Puerto Rico and Englebert Cabrera and Carmen Elizabeth of Puerto Rico, Myleen Cabrera Rosado of El Paso, TX, Doris Cabrera Matos of Philidelphia, PA, Melissa Cabrera Garcia of Florida, his step daughters Tracy Morgan of Boston, MA and Michele Morgan of Pelham, NH, his sisters Yolanda Cabrera Santiago of Puerto Rico, Titi-Luz Belen of Puerto Rico and Dinelia and Catalino Morales of Puerto Rico, 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
