Gloria M Patenaude, lifelong resident of Chelmsford MA, passed away on March 30, 2025.
Born April 19, 1927, the daughter of the late Thelma (Luke) Blanchette, the late Carll Gleason, and step daughter of the late Wilfred Blanchette. She was married to the love of her life, the late A. Warren Patenaude.
Gloria was a strong woman who loved her family, valued her friends, enjoyed cooking, and gardening, and worked hard.
After the death of her husband in 1982, Gloria continued his painting business and successfully ran it until she retired at 70.
She always said she was a very blessed woman even as she cared for her husband and parents through their last days and even as she slowly lost her eyesight due to an autoimmune disease. Her strength and determination to fully live life her way has always inspired her family.
She is survived by her daughters: Melody Gonsalves and her husband Tom, their 3 children, Thomas and his 3 children, Tammy Arena and her husband Rob and their 2 boys all of Chelmsford and Tim Gonsalves, and of Tyngsboro; Callie McMahon of Milford, NH, her 3 children, Dave and his 3 children, Amy (McMahon) Holland and her 2 children, all of Milford, and Rebecca McMahon and her partner Gabe Tobbe and their 2 children, of Greenfield, NH.
Gloria was a pretty private person and the family is honoring her request of no calling hours or grave side service except with her immediate family.
