Helen L. DeAngelis of Chelmsford, MA

Mrs. Helen Lorraine (Bent) DeAngelis of N. Chelmsford, MA died Thursday afternoon, November 25, 2021 at Mary Immaculate Healthcare in Lawrence, MA.

She was married to the late Jerome DeAngelis, Sr. who died October 13, 2017.

Born in Malden, MA on November 3, 1931, the daughter of the late Albert E. and Alice V. (Hamilton) Bent.  She was a graduate of Chelsea High School, and Whidden Hospital for Nursing in Everett, MA.

She was employed for many years with several nursing homes in the Lowell area, she retired from Northwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Lowell in 1998.

She was an avid reader who enjoyed crocheting, drawing, playing cards, but was most happy at church and spending quality time with family and friends.

She is survived by four sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark W. DeAngelis, Scott J. DeAngelis both of Lowell, Jerome DeAngelis, Jr. formerly of NH, Dennis J. and Deborah (Brackett) DeAngelis of Georgetown, MA, two daughters and their husbands, Christine L. and William Irvine of Amherst, NH, Shawnee L. and John Bowden of Newton, NH, three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Albert E. Bent, Jr. and his wife, Arlene of Carson City, NV, Edward J. and Gloria Bent, Russell N. and Mary Bent all of Maine, a sister, Elaine L. Davidson of ME, a brother-in-law, Gary Hathaway of NV, six cherished grandchildren, and one great grandchild, several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many close family friends.

She was the sister of the late Alice J., Bertha L., and Ernest V. Bent, the late Edith M. Toomey of ME, and the late Carol A. Hathaway of NV.
