Hien Van Le, 76, of Lowell, MA, passed away peacefully on the evening of Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer lasting over two years.
Hien leaves behind his beloved wife, Phuong Vu Le, with whom he shared an enduring and beautiful love for more than 51 years. Their bond, built on mutual respect, devotion, and unwavering companionship, was a testament to the strength of their love.
Born in Hanoi, Vietnam, Hien was the son of Le Van Huyen and Nguyen Thi Mong. He embarked on a new chapter of his life when he immigrated to the United States in 1982, becoming a proud U.S. citizen in 1995. Hien was a determined student, earning a Degree in Basic Electrical Engineering from Costa Mesa Community College, reflecting his commitment to knowledge and self-improvement.
An entrepreneur at heart, Hien carved a path in the restaurant and nail salon industries, bringing his creativity, warmth, and passion to everything he did. His love for cooking and entertaining was one of his greatest joys, and he was happiest when surrounded by loved ones, sharing meals, laughter, and memories. In quieter moments, he found peace in watching soccer and listening to his cherished Vietnamese country music, which transported him back to his roots.
Hien’s legacy lives on through his beloved wife, Phuong, and their four children: his sons, Hoang (Thao) Le, Tung Le, Tu Le, and his daughter, Nancy Le-Cohen. He also leaves behind extended family who adored him as their own: Alice Kim, wife of Hoang (Thao) Le; Zulay Chang-Le, wife of Tu Le; and Dustin Cohen, husband of Nancy Le-Cohen.
Hien’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family, a shining example of love, strength, and perseverance.
