James Edward Walsh, 85, of Hudson, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Bedford Hills.
He was married to Linda Sue (Dickenson) Walsh with whom he would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on June 25th.
Born in Lowell, Ma., he was the beloved son of James E Walsh Sr. and Alice (Courtemarche) Walsh.
He graduated from Keith Academy with the Class of 1956 and served in the US Marine Corp.
James worked for the family businesses Walsh Brother’s Florist of Lowell and James Walsh Son’s Asphalt Paving.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Lowell.
James enjoyed fishing, golfing and a good bourbon.
His greatest love was to spend time with his friends and family especially his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons James and his wife Valerie Walsh of Lowell, MA., Robert and his wife Angela Walsh of Chelmsford, MA., Joseph and his wife Jennie Walsh also of Chelmsford, MA., his daughter Debbie Gilbert of Lowell, MA. He also leaves behind many grandchildren James and Samuel Walsh, Emma and Owen Walsh, Joshua, Jonathan and Joseph Walsh, and JD and Ashley Gilbert. And many nieces and nephews especially Alicia and Gary Rawnsley of Newburyport, MA.
He was the brother of the late Robert “Bobby” Walsh and Marlene Johnston.
