James Raymond Cameron Jr passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in Naples, Florida with his family by his side.
Jim was born in Medford, Ma January 29, 1943 to James and Susanne Cameron Sr. Jim was a veteran in the U.S. Army and a graduate of Northeastern University.
Jim was a kind, hardworking family man and a true gentleman. Jim enjoyed following his grandchildren and nephews sporting events and celebrated their achievements.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline. He and Jackie would have celebrated 55 years of marriage this coming November 5th. Jim was an amazing father to daughters Kerry Cameron and Ken Shaw, Jennifer Hughes and Ken Hughes and son James R. Cameron III and Melissa Beauregard. He was a wonderful brother-in-law to Janine and Brian Murphy. Jim cherished his grandchildren and was a proud grandfather to McKenna Hughes, Reese Hughes, Cameron Hughes, James Cameron IV, Jack Cameron and Zachary Dalton
Jim loved his nieces Erin Edwards and Jill Emerson, his grand-nephews Kyle Edwards & Bret Edwards and grand-niece Lily Emerson. Jim appreciated his many lifelong friends and southern friends at Blue Sky’s where he spent his retired years.
Jim was a person of great strength, soft spoken, kind and generous. His advice was often sought after and was always thoughtful and meaningful. Jim was a successful business owner and a pillar of the community. He was a lifetime member of the Knickerbocker Club in South Lowell and President/Manager for over thirty years. Jim was a communicant of St. Maries church in South Lowell. He was very involved in church activities and chaired many committees. He exemplified family values, good work ethics and perseverance. Jim was a supportive husband, his love for Jackie emanated. He was an incredible role model for his kids and grandkids and he will be missed tremendously.

Memorial Service for Jim will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the
Dolan Funeral Home

A Celebration of Life will follow at the Knickerbocker Club 36 Chamberlain St. Lowell

Not sure I ever got to meet Jim. But I’ve known the Hughes family for a long time now. I’ve spent a great amount of time with both Reese, Cam, and I know McKenna well also. My parents and I also know Mr. and Mrs. Hughes, they were very nice to me over the years. My thoughts and prayers go out to both the Hughes and Cameron Family.
