Jay was a person who was salt of the earth. You never had to guess who you were to him. Just was back in touch with him a few years ago and he was still approachable and honest as he was in high school. My thought and prayers are with his parents, Erin, Meghan and Tara. I hope the love he had for you all provides some peace. He was a great guy and I hope he found peace. We were fortunate to know him.

I just heard the news, and am very sad indeed at the loss of my high school buddy. Though we lost touch after, there was a time we were best friends, and some of my best memories from that time involve Jay. My heart and sympathy go out to his sisters Tara, Meghan, and Erin, all who are part of my childhood, as well as his folks and their extended families.
